| Coffee Cake Recipe |
Ingredients:
- 17 tablespoon butter (unsalted, melted)
- 3 3/4 cups flour
- 1 1/4 cups + 2 teaspoon sugar
- 6 tablespoon + 1 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoon + 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 6 tablespoon sour cream
- 2 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon extract
- 2 large eggs
1. Preheat oven to 325 C. Grease baking pan with butter and sprinkle with flour.
2. In a bowl mix 8 tablespoons melted butter, 1/4 cup sugar, 6 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon salt until smooth.
3. Add 1 1/2 cups flour, mix until crumbly, chill.
4. To make a filling in a bowl mix remaining brown sugar, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and pecans.
5. In another bowl, whisk together remaining flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Set aside.
6. Mix together remaining butter, milk, sour cream, vanilla, cinnamon extract and eggs until smooth. Pour wet ingredients over dry and whisk to combine. Pour half the batter into the pan. Sprinkle filling over top, pour remaining batter over it.
7. Break up reserved topping with fingers, sprinkle over the top. Bake until a toothpick inserted into middle of cake comes out clean about 1 hour. Let cool before serving.
